Rear Admiral of the Green Sir Eric Schulman, OM, SC, OG, ME, is the Commandant of Saganami Island Naval Academy.

He joined HMSS Greenwich in 2011 and then transferred to HMS Heracles (BC-566) as an Astrogator’s Yeoman in January 2012. He was promoted to Ensign when he became Astrogator of HMS Heracles and joined BuTrain to become the Saganami Island Academy Astrogation Instructor as a Lieutenant (Junior Grade). He was promoted to Lieutenant (Senior Grade) when he took command of HM LAC Zwicky (LAC-003). He took command of HMS Bedivere (DD-486) as a Lieutenant Commander and then became the first TRMN graduate of the Advanced Tactical Course (also known as “The Crusher”). He was promoted to Commander when he took command of HMS Artegal (CL-493) in July 2012. From August 2012 until April 2014 he was the BuShips Director of Billet Analyses. He was promoted to Captain (Junior Grade) when he took command of HMS Leopard (CA-430) and then to Captain (Senior Grade) when he became Commandant of the Saganami Island Academy Naval Technical Specialties College. He took command of HMS Rigel (BC-591) in March 2014 and was promoted to Commodore when he took command of Battlecruiser Division 111. From May 2014 until November 2015 he was a member of the BuComm Editorial Board. He was promoted to Rear Admiral of the Red in August 2014 when he took command of First Fleet, a position he held until November 2015. In August 2016 he was promoted to Rear Admiral of the Green.
